16 Days of Activism: UNiTE to End Digital Violence Against Women and Girls
Together, We Can End Violence Against Women and Girls - Online and Offline
The 16 Days of Activism is a global campaign to end gender-based violence, running from 25 November to 10 December.
This year’s theme, led by UN Women, is 'UNiTE to End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls’.
It highlights the growing threat of online harassment, image-based abuse and digital coercive control - calling for awareness, action and collective responsibility to make digital spaces safe for everyone.
What We’re Doing
Over the 16 days, we’ll bring together voices from across our Housing, Health, Training, Policy, CCR, MARAC and DHR teams - along with sector partners - to spotlight how coordinated action can end violence in both digital and real worlds.
“As the world marks 30 years of Beijing Declaration, Standing Together is proud to lead a series of events exploring how digital violence impacts women and girls across every system - from health and housing data, justice and education.”

Why it Matters
This year’s theme reminds us that violence doesn’t stop at the door - it follows survivors into digital spaces. Together, through awareness, training and coordinated action, we can ensure every system responds to digital abuse effectively.
“One in three women experiences violence. Digital safety is now a fundamental part of gender equality.”
